Benefit from a balanced body and mind by investing in healing touch.

SWEDISH MASSAGE (SWM)

Using classic European technique with light to firm pressure, therapy aims to soothe and rejuvenate muscles while quieting the mind and relaxing the body. This sequence may include long gliding strokes, kneading, cross fiber friction, percussion, and/or stretching. Benefits include increased flexibility, increased range of motion, increased circulation, lowered blood pressure, correction of muscle imbalances, release of muscle spasm ("knots"), decreased pain, decreased anxiety, and increased mind-body awareness.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE (DTM)

The session begins with Swedish technique using firm pressure to stimulate and warm the superficial layers of soft tissue. Therapy progresses with a decelerated pace and deepening pressure to manipulate inward muscles and connective tissue. The intensity of pressure is gauged per client tolerance and soft tissue response. DTM aims to alleviate chronic muscle pain, release connective tissue adhesions, remodel scar tissue, release muscular spasms ("knots"), and rehabilitate injured tissue. Anchored stretching (pinning of soft tissue with joint articulation) or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching may be incorporated to aid muscle in resetting to optimal resting length. Additionally, trigger point therapy (specific, sustained pressure) or cross fiber friction (rhythmic friction perpendicular to the soft tissue fiber) may be applied to release a hyperirritable muscle that is causing muscular spasm and/or referred pain.

SPORTS MASSAGE (SPM)

Using SWM and DTM techniques, therapy is customized for the athlete specific to the sport performed. Sessions are designed to help reduce the chance of injury by identifying and eliminating conditions in the muscles that are at potential risk of injury. Therapy aims to increase range of motion, relieve fatigued muscles, and stimulate circulation while enhancing athletic performance and recovery time. This massage is useful for both amateur and professional athletes pre and post events.

CHAIR MASSAGE (CHM)

Using Swedish techniques enjoy the benefits of a brief massage while fully clothed and in a seated position. This is a convenient and fun way to reduce job stress in the workplace, improve immune system function, and boost overall morale!
